May Happenings

Monday Morning Provocations is an adult ministry of the church gathered to discuss our common and uncommon faith. We meet at 11 AM in the pastor's office most Mondays. This is open to all.

Sunday, May 15th: Godly Play Sunday. Join us for a time in the "desert box" as we continue with the early sacred stories of the people of God. Following worship, any interested can participate in a conversation about church membership. What does it mean to be a member of a church? Is joining a church something you've done, something you want to do, something you want to do here in Monterey?

Wednesday, May 18th: The monthly Community Potluck Dinner as always on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, will take place in the fellowship hall of the church from 6-8 PM. Bring a table setting and a dish to share. All are welcome!

Saturday, May 21: Art of Image Transfer workshop with Peggy Reeves, 11 AM-2 PM. Preregistration is required; please call 528-2446.

Saturday, May 21: A gathering to discuss what's next for the Monterey General Store. Come prepared to think creatively and talk collaboratively! 3 PM in the fellowship hall.

Sunday, May 29 7 PM: A concert offered in appreciation to Kenn Basler, former proprietor of the Monterey General Store.

Monday, May 30, Memorial Day: 11 AM Observance at Veteran's Park; 1 PM parade through town followed by refreshments at the firehouse.

Worship Services

Worship service is held at 10 o'clock on Sunday mornings in the sanctuary.

Monterey Coffee Club

This is an informal group that gathers in the community room every morning, 8-10 o'clock, for coffee and conversation.

Community Dinner

On the third Wednesday of every month between October and June, there is a potluck dinner followed by a program of a wide variety of sorts. Held in the community room and running from 6-8 PM, the dinner consists of whatever people bring, enough to serve 6 or so people. All are welcome.
